Before I fell in love with photographing your love, I worked as a graphic designer at an architecture firm. I spent my days learning about how buildings, interior spaces, colors, and lighting evoke different emotions.
When I became a full-time wedding photographer, I took these skills with me. My editorial approach incorporates the beauty of the scene around you into the shot, enhancing the romance of your story.
Courtney and John’s Philadelphia wedding was centered around the people they love most, with portraits throughout some of the city’s most historic locations before an evening reception at Down Town Club Cescaphe overlooking Independence Hall.
The day began with getting ready at the Renaissance Philadelphia Downtown Hotel before Courtney and John shared a private first look and exchanged personal vows outside the Second Bank of the United States. From there, we captured portraits at the Merchants’ Exchange Building, the Rodin Museum, and Broad Street with Philadelphia City Hall before celebrating with their family and friends at Down Town Club Cescaphe.
As a Philadelphia wedding photographer, I love creating images that feel connected to the places couples choose to celebrate. Courtney and John’s day combined the history of Philadelphia with a celebration that felt intimate, joyful, and completely personal.
Located in Philadelphia’s Old City neighborhood, Down Town Club Cescaphe offers a historic setting with beautiful architecture and views overlooking Independence Hall.
One of the biggest advantages of this venue is its location. Couples can incorporate some of Philadelphia’s most recognizable portrait locations, including the Second Bank of the United States, Merchants’ Exchange Building, and City Hall, without spending a large portion of their wedding day traveling.
For couples planning a Down Town Club Cescaphe wedding, Old City provides countless opportunities for portraits surrounded by Philadelphia’s historic architecture.

When planning your timeline, I recommend choosing a few locations that feel meaningful to you rather than trying to fit in too many stops. A thoughtful selection of portraits allows you to enjoy your wedding day while still creating a gallery with variety.
If you are planning a wedding at Down Town Club Cescaphe, consider building in time for portraits before the reception begins. A first look can provide additional flexibility for exploring Philadelphia’s historic district while still leaving plenty of time to celebrate with your guests.
