Before I fell in love with photographing your love, I worked as a graphic designer at an architecture firm. I spent my days learning about how buildings, interior spaces, colors, and lighting evoke different emotions.
When I became a full-time wedding photographer, I took these skills with me. My editorial approach incorporates the beauty of the scene around you into the shot, enhancing the romance of your story.
Christie and Ian’s Rittenhouse Square engagement photos brought together the places they love most in Philadelphia. Since they live just a few blocks away, Rittenhouse Square felt like the perfect place to document this season of their lives.
We started with skyline views from a Center City parking garage before heading to Rittenhouse Square for portraits among the fall foliage. The cloudy weather and light rain gave the city a softer feel, making the streets and park even more beautiful to photograph.
Once the rain picked up, we stepped inside Bar Lesieur for a completely different look. With espresso martinis in hand and its warm, moody atmosphere, it was the perfect contrast to the city portraits we had created earlier.
One of my favorite things about photographing in this part of Philadelphia is the variety within just a few blocks. Historic architecture, tree-lined paths, skyline views, and intimate indoor spaces create so much variety without spending the session traveling between locations.
One of my favorite things about Rittenhouse Square engagement photos is how much variety you can capture within such a walkable neighborhood. Every session feels different because the locations reflect each couple’s story. The goal is never to follow the exact same route.
Philadelphia is one of my favorite places for engagement sessions because every neighborhood offers something different. Rittenhouse Square has a timeless feel, combining classic architecture, city streets, and quiet moments that feel personal to each couple.
I’m so excited to photograph Christie and Ian’s wedding this year at Ballroom at the Ben.
As a Philadelphia wedding photographer, I love helping couples choose locations that feel meaningful to them. The result is a gallery that feels authentic, personal, and timeless.
